Looks good I like the Torque Thrust rims, too. I initially wanted those for my '53 but, if I remember right, they didn't offer those with the backspacing I wanted. What engine/tranny are you going with?
The wheels are actually Mustang Bullet wheels off a 10,000 mile bullet edition mustang. I got them for a deal I simply couldn't refuse ($300 with rubber). It took some thought and a few bucks to make them fit, but I have never seen another truck with them on it.
I'm hoping to get things kicked into gear and get it running for Bact to the Fifties. It is going to be a polished "rat rod" thing until I get the time, money, and color idea to paint it. My chevelle will probably be cleaned up and painted before it so it will be a while.
In terms of the combo... it has a volare front suspension swap and an explorer rear axle (3.73 posi). Motor wise I was going to run a 5.0 HO fuel injected motor, but it has become too much of a pain in the butt figuring out what sensors I need and which I don't. Plus I am running a T5 w/ the s10 tailshaft conversion so I won't be able to run a speed sensor and I heard they have a tendancy to stall without it. But I at least still have the forged piston HO longblock and the the 59 pedal setup allowing me to run a hydraulic clutch.

What did you do to make the wheels fit on the back? I had wheels off a 95 Mustang on mine and it had way too much backspacing to fit. I am running a 8.8 rear out of an Explorer. I would need like a 3 1/2" spacer to make it work, so currently I have Ranger steel wheels and they don't fit really well either, but better than the Mustang wheels.
Bobbytnm: That shop is actually my buddy's 2.5 car garage. We built it a couple years ago from the ground up. Part of the deal of me helping him and donating some materials was I got to use one bay for a few years until I get my own garage sorted out. It came out real nice... but the best deal is the awsome steel counter/bench he got from a friend closing his deli.

I had an off-road 4x4 race shop make some custom 3" aluminum bolt on wheel spacers and everything fits mint. If you need a pair I have two extras that I was going to put on e-bay. Some people scoff at the use of them, but with quality units it is no different then the wheel itself being machined that way as long as the flange surface is still inside the wheel itself.

Nice looking project. I went to the website and looked at your other pics and my only complaint is we need more pictures. I looking forward to seeing the progress.
