Quadzilla Air Intake.. Goodbye :)~

Well it turns out I'm sticking with the stock air intake for now.. I got the Quadzilla Monster Air Intake and used it for 2 tanks.. I was thinking of just keeping it in but now I am getting this Ram Air Hood and the Airbox for it.. So the Quadzilla is hitting the sales bend.. How much ya'll think I should sell it for? I got it for $200.. Used it for 300 miles.. Thinking $150.. Might try ebay.. Saw about 30 of em up lol..

I figure the cost of the Ram Air Hood and Airbox is $1200 plus $400 for a body shop to paint it here and mount it.. So no sense in keeping that intake when I'm going to swap it out in a few months..

Sounds good. Do you have the original box and stuff? People like that when they get it. Makes em feel like it is new....

Oh yeah.. I got everything..

I liked it.. I just can't justify the cost for the amount of time I'll have it when getting the new hood/airbox.. To me it'd be a waste of money plus the value of it after that amount of time would be less because of filter usage..

Oh it's in the mod list I'm doing things here and there while I still have warranty.. ARP Head Studs are in the works.. My service manager is putting together a write up for me with cost and writing stating that they will honor my warranty for anything damaged that is not a result of modified head studs..

No not at all.. I am confident with the Quadzilla Intake.. Just have no use for it with my Ram Air hood and box coming.. I've read the theory on turbo dusting but don't see it as an issue unless you have a poor filter.. The quadzilla filter is pretty good..

Storm, where are you getting the hood and intake from, that sounds a little high to me? I want to say I got mine for about $1000 altogether.

Also, just so you know, I took my Airraid filter off today to put the pre filter on. Since it was off I figured I would check out the inside of the air intake tube. Wiped it with a clean white rag and it came out perfectly clelan, not even any oil from the oiled filter. To tell you the truth the inside of the intake looked like new still. Of course I only have 3000 miles on it so this isn't a long term test, but it has definitely made me more confident in my decision to get it.

Yeah that's the exact same stuff I bought. I'm not sure if you have a certain reason that you want to buy from that site, but you can get it cheaper at both Jegs and Summit.

I didn't know if that site might have a local store near you or something. Or if maybe shipping costs would make them about the same.

Anyway hope it works out for you. I know I am really happy with how mine turned out.
