Lightbulb 1999 f-350 turn signals

Turn signals stopped working. The fuse is good. Hazards flash just fine. Can the relay be bad and still allow the flashers to work but not the turn signals?

There is a seperate flasher for the hazards and the turnsignals. So the turnsignal flasher could be bad.

Re-, I checked my diagram for the turn/4-ways on my 2000 and there is only one place I can see where things tie together. There is only one flasher relay (located in the center of the instrument panel) and it feeds the multi-function switch (turn signal switch). the hazard switch ties into the multifunction switch as well (actually part of it). My vote would be a problem with the multi-function switch itself. I suspect that the part of the switch which switches from 4ways to trun signals is defective on the turn signal side.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the tips guys. I replaced the relay in the fuse box under the dash next to the parking brake and that didnt fix the prob. I was thinking about what ( if anything) I had worked on or adjusted and the only thing I could think of was that the steering wheel had been adjusted down. Tilted it back up and the turn signals work again. I adjusted the wheel up and down many times and each time the turn signals work/dont work. Im glad they work but does this mean big bucks to have problem solved?

You have the common problem of too much strain on a wiring connector in the steering column. You can get in there and pull the wires up to take the strain off the connector, and also some people use wire ties to hold the connector halves together.

How is THIS for a quick reply ? It WAS strain on the wiring connector and the wire ties did the trick. ( just in case anybody else has the same problem )
