Our chapter is building a 72 F250 into a highboy mud and trail truck. We have converted to cross-body power steering with the steering arms in front of the axle. The truck has been lifted and is running 33" tires.
The brush guard we are planning to use is a single 4" pipe, with a 2" pipes protecting the radiator. I would like to find a different guard, something that extends down a bit to protect the steering arms, and up to protect the headlights and front corners.
I would also like for the grille to show - it is the original and in good shape.
We have a lot of heavy-duty fabrication tools and talent available to us.
What do you guys suggest? Can you post some links to good-looking brush guards?
I have a good one on the front of my truck(check it out in my gallery...not sure how to post a pic in here) It just doesn't protest the headlights but it has holes that you can attach stuff for that with...mine's black but I've seen them in Chrome...unfortunately I have no idea where to get one...it just came on the truck when I got it
i would run tubing out to the eges and turn them down to meet the bumper and add another peice of flat stock (just like the allready there)rite where the headlight and grill come together as for under the bumper i wouldnt have any idea i wouldnt do that personaly cuzz it'll hang ya up on logs of rocks, mud, ect.
