My right rear leaf spring is sagging a bit. If you look at the rear of the truck it is easy to see that side is sitting lower. Is there an easy fix to this problem or do I need to order a new spring pack??
You could have the spring rearched by a spring shop but this is, at best a temporary fix.I would suggest replacing both springs. If you install a new spring on the right it will most likely then sag a bit on the left as a brand new spring will be stronger.Hope this helps.
Thanks Redcat. Ideally I would like to replace both, but they are pricey. I may have to go for a temporary fix until I can save up the money for new springs. I think LMC wants around $300 each for new ones.
Redcat suggests getting the springs re-arced, as I do. It's cheaper than new ones (which are prolly made in China ) and you can get new bushings at the same time. A spring shop can do the entire job, you can take the truck, or just the springs.
You know what they say about the warranty on Chinese auto parts: 90 days or 4000 feet, whichever occurs first.

LMC is a good source but here's something else you might want to look into.Try to find a shop in your area that does heavy truck spring work. These shops often also sell truck parts. Most of them can get light truck springs.Since spring work is their main business they are usually more cost effective than a restoration supply outfit.Hope this helps.
For what it's worth, I had a couple broken springs on the passenger's side of my F100. I disassembled the spring pack, replaced the broken springs and all the hardware. Not too hard, but if I'd had the money, I'd have sprung for new springs! :-)
