Does anyone have an image of the PCV location on 5.4 3V?

I know where the location is on the previous gen 5.4 (passenger side valve cover), and I think I know where it is on the new 5.4, but it looks like it has some kind of a twist lock mechanism. It appears to be on the drivers side valve cover which is the opposite side from the previous generation 5.4. Just wondering if this is it? Any pics or images would be appreciated.

Thanks.

On the 5.4 it's located on the left side of the intake manifold behind the throttle body and is held down by two bolts. This PCV is a little more complicated than past designs as it is heated.

The PCV is just a restrictor inside the left valve cover. So there is no need to change it.
What MeanGene1 described is the heater and nothing more.

Thanks for the replies. So the PCV never has to be changed?

That's the first I've ever heard this.

The maintenence guide says to "Check PCV for flow" at 150,000 miles on the 3v engines.

I in regards to wiper blade lengths and it didn't say squat!!..lol

I only have 18,000 miles on her now but for roughly a 5 dollar part, I was thinking on changing it in the future. This was meant to be more of an informative thread, and it was at that.

Thanks

I'm sorry, i wasn't trying to be inflammatory, I was just showing you what was in the owner's manual, that's all.

Hrmmm....that would be 240,000 KMs for you? Or does my math suck?

Thanks Bridge, that's more of what I was looking for, but where is the PCV valve itself? That seems to show everything about the heater, but not the valve itself?

I think it's within the portion of the assembly that gets bolted down, #4 in the picture But the manual does not say for sure. Ford uses a few different types of PCV/heater combinations and ours is called "Electrically Heated PCV Tube (with Thermal Harness)" as compared to another one that is refered to as "Electrically Heated PCV (with Thermal Harness)". The latter has a twist cam-lock for locking into the valve cover, whereas ours is bolted down.

Okay, and thanks. At least I don't have to worry about it for a long time. In past history, changing a PCV valve was always a 2 second job..lol

That doesn't even mention the PVC itself.
