Ball joint replacement

Approx. how much is it going to cost me to have the front ball joints replaced?

Prob around 600+ to have it done or <150 to do it yourself.

retail on ball joints upper: 70.24 x2
retail on lower: 107.57 x2
wheel seal 35.00 x2 dealer item only

Search around and see if you can find a distributor for Coni Seal. They carry ball joints that are imported. I have used these with good results. They even come with stubby grease fittings that will clear the axle joint. These joints are less than half the retail price of Moog.

Steve- if you have the time (set aside a whole day if you're doing it yourself) you can save a bunch. I had a guy I work with that knows anything from a jeep to a Peterbuilt help me, and with all the right tools, it took us about 4 hours. I did mine on base where I had a press available, but I think you may be able to get them out with a big vise, I could be wrong??

You can beat them out but putting them in is a little different.

Only needed the Stealer to press on the axle seals. They have the correct tool and only takes a few seconds for each axle.
