Question Black Tie Affair???

Hey Ya'll, I was just wondering if anyone out there in FTE land knows of any engine dress-up items that are black instead of the usual chrome or Billet? Now when I say black i don't need sarcastic answers like "A lot of rubber hoses are black, huhuhu." I mean actual black dress-up items. I saw that Edelbrock makes a line for Chevys (::shudders at the mention: but thats about all I've seen. My Effie is white & black two-tone and I'm doing red accents throughout. Thats why the inquiry for black dress-up. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've seen "Cobra" and "Shelby" valve covers. They were wrinkle black with polished ridges and name on top.

I would just find stuff you like and get it powdercoated. You could do some of the existing stuff too and it would all match then.

Are you just looking for an air cleaner and valve covers?

One of the things I'm looking to do to dress-up my engine compartment is to replace the black rubber hoses with metal (that just happen to come in some pretty bitchin colors). I saw them on the Coolflex site (link below), but will see if I can find them elsewere for cheaper, since they are so expensive there.

For your application they have chrome metal hoses with black end connectors, or red or whatever.

Check it out when you get a chance.

Ron
