Wiring completed...almost
I also got the seat bracket and explorer seats installed. It went very easy. The secret is measure twice, then measure again.
I drove the truck down to the muffler shop. He will start on it first thing in the am.
My friend Mike, who is helping me out, put a peice of exhaust pipe on while I was finishing the wiring. The truck ran and did not die out, so it was vapor lock causing it to stall.
I mounted my horns thanks for the pics. I put a horn button on column. I put a horn on both sides of hood. When you push the button it is very loud. I
Next I picked up mirror arm extensions and mirrors today. Boy they are not cheap. $78.00
The truck drove well, steering is very tight. Shifted fairly well also.
Now for the bad news, The sandblaster has not even started the welding needed on my bed. He has not done anything to it since last week. I really doubt now if my truck will make the trip. If he gets it done, I will drive it though. Out of my control. One of his biggest customers an oil company shut down a drilling machine for maintenance, and he had to sanblast that. I understand, you cant make you big $$ customers wait for me.
Next problem was the brakes seem like they were on. I could feel them holding me back. I will have to check that out tomorrow. After work.
My truck is looking good, but there are areas I have to work on!
