Cleaning Chrome Rims

Anyone know of a good product to clean teh brake dust off chrome rims, they are aftermarket MotoMetals? I am seeing a lot of brake dust build up that is getting hard to clean off

Any help is always appreciated

Yes, its supposed to be good for all metal, including clear coated and polished. its just kind of a a pain because you're supposed to reapply every 4-6 weeks. It's probably better for wheels without alot of nooks and crannies.

There are plenty of wheel-cleaners out there for brake dust. Basically, surfactants.

I've use a few of them on my SD, they work well, just make sure it doesn't dry onto the rim

I use the Mother's Power Ball for my wheels. It works grseat and seems to be quite durable. Best $20 I've spent in a long time.

Just remember that that power-ball uses a compound material, which WILL remove material from your rims, over time.

A spray-on surfactant doesn't remove any paint/chrome/metal.

While the power-ball is great when they're really dirty and/or corroded, a plain chrome wheel comes out great with the spray-on stuff.
