I'm going to be having the bed done soon and was wondering if all Line-X dealers apply the chemical the same way. Are there any things I should ask? I'm assuming most do not get the rails sprayed since the truck comes with the plastic rail covers.
Cobra,
I am not shure but i believe they remove the bed rails and do just to the top of the bed rails. They also remove all bed mounting bolts, tie-downs and tailgate hardware and tailgate pan. Very well applied and i am very happy with the results. I know several friends that also love it. Superior finish, excellent skid resistant and limmited lifetime warranty.

I have a 06 F250 SB. I am pretty set on LINE-X, just have not talked to them yet. Would you mind if I asked how much it cost in NH and CO? Just want something to compare to. I will have it done in PA. THANKS. You can PM if you prefer.
we got this done by the dealer when we got the truck, awesome finish. But best of all a few months back I put a few gas cans in the back and forgot about them. Drove all the way home and when i found them, they hadnt moved an inch!
I love my Line-X .Great finish . Great durability . And the cost basically adds to the value of your truck. I highly recommend it. I do say shop around for the best price .Call around for best price .
Plastic bed rails wont be removed. I was told the clips on the rails , break if you try to remove them. Its your choice . To replace them . Your roughly looking at $70 bucks a piece.
All nine of my trucks have Premium-One sprayed in bed liners. No issues, great product, hold up to any abuse. The "secret formula" may be different between each brand but I don't think it will make a darn pit of difference. The person that sprays in the brand of your choice will determine your level of satisfaction. Its the same as deciding on who does your paint job.
Do you trust they are going to spray it in as thick as they say they will, because there is no way to check afterward without damageing it? Will they make runs or an uneven coat? Will they get over spray on the outside of the bed or back of the cab that will never come off? Will they remove all the stuff they are trained to before they spray? Will they then replace these things like they are meant to be? Will they not spray the drain holes closed at the front of the bed, which is a tricky one? Will they properly taper down the thickness at the tailgate and on the tailgate so it won't look like a mat cut off with a pocket knife? And most important, will the tailgate shut when they are finished?
No two bedliners of any brand are the same. Those are the questions to ask and not just to the sales guy. You need to ask around your town to see which shop got the happest customers.
Mine were $500 each and 8 out of 9 were perfect, one had some runs, but nobody is perfect every time.
We had Line-X installed and got the same results as DAVE67. Very nicely done, up to the rails, bed bolts, tie downs, and tailgate access plate removed. 2 years later we are still very happy. My Line-X Pics.
