This is my daughter Selina standing in front of the '83 Bronco XLT I finished this past summer. It has a stock '82 460 with an Edlebrock manifold and 4v Edlebrock carb. Everything was hooked back up ie: the A/C and cruise control. The chassis has 119k, the motor and C6 has about 57k. It's at stock ride height with the exception of 31.5's. It has all new suspension bushings in the front end and I had to have custom coils built to hold up the extra weight. This winter I need to drop the rear axle and rebushing the leaf springs. I have rebuilt the transfer case and after breaking 2 Ford 9" limited slips, finally got fed up and installed a Detroit Locker in june. It was originally tan and unfortunatly the interior is still that horrible color. The purple is Mopar Crazy Plum Metalic and the flames were striped by my wife. It also has an Alpine CD player with 2 12" subs in the back. If'n you think this is long winded, ask me about my daughter

It's either a 1970 or 71 mopar color, the name is crazy plum metalic. Lime and purple would be a great head turner, be sure and post some pics somewhere.
Hi,
I have a 1987 Bronco with a 302 that I would like to repower with a 460 next spring. Everything's going to need a rebuild (it's got 160k on the frame and engine right now). I would be interested in how your repower job went, what problems there were, etc.
It went pretty smooth, I used alot of the parts from the '92 donor truck. There are quite a few little details to work out such as cruise, A/C, alt brackets ect that was time consuming but worth it. I had to shorten the rear drive shaft and lengthen the front one. The hardest part was relocating the oil filter, the original would not clear the cross member, I finally used a relocating kit and mounted it beside the radiator on the drivers side. You'll like the power!

Oh yeah, it's load of fun at the local checker / zone parts store.

Hey, Bronco's don't have 460's.
So I respond that also I have a 4 door Powerstroke Bronco, I suppose that don't exist either?
I would like to see a pic of that 4dr w/power stroke diesel. That is the truck i have been wanting since ive owned my 78 bored 460, 4.09/4.11 d-locker, stealth intake, l&l mounts& headers, 35/16-15 boggers. Broncos Rock
