We have a client that needs an 07 F250 4x4 lowered at least 3" in front and 5" in rear to facilitate access from a wheel chair. We have thought about modifying front springs and removing rear block, looking for a better suggestion. Any products available?
I would think that removing the block is the simplest and safest way to go in the rear. However, I have no idea what to do on the front. Five inches is a long way.
Also, depending on the customers needs, a lower profile tire could give you some drop and also give a pretty cool look on a lowered truck. Wouldn't work well in an off-raod application, but if you are lowering the truck anyway . . . .
Keldermann makes an air ride for the front (and rear) The front is $1000 just add an air dump for when getting in or out. 3" should not be a problem while parked. LS
Thanks for the help guys. Forgot about Kelderman and I called and left a message. The Western chassis is only for 2 wheel drive. The customer wants a 4x4 to get up his lane way in winter.
