Well I talked to my vendor today. I am thinking of duplicating the oem pan exactly. You guys brought up many other ideas, but each of the ideas start to get pretty specialized. I will be having about 100 pans made. They should retail for about $100. I have to finalize the deal & give them a sample to work off of. I may know some definate answers in about a month or so.

as always, thanks for your feed back.

I have a 2WD but may use one of those 4WD pans to prevent oil starvation under acceleration.

Did you check with NumberDummy?

tim meyer prototype oil pan

mr meyer,
this is father from father son,
we will buy your pan, frankly we are most interested in YOUR internal design than anything else. we just assume your flanges and seal lips will be superior. in addittion we care not about pretty, co colors decals and gold irridiate can always come later right, sell us a prototype, we will run it. good luck sir on your new product. is it here yet (grin) tim you will specify a correct pickup to match your internals right so we can take FULL advantage of your design i hope so
okay, later father/son

tim,
one thougt, something i have always dreamed of, and i believe would make a tim meyer take the industry by storm.
as follows, why not design in a REMOVABLE magnet plate that is stronger and larger than pan plug that would be immersed in the oil and clears the throw, the goal is a you well know to grab every last bit of ferrous junk before it ever leaves the pan period. i realize this adds to tooling costs but a man gets what he pays for, why two versions a stocker and a hi-po. why not later us

i told a small lie'
how much would it cost to stamp out a few hundred oil slingers while you at it with your pans.
why, ours is missing, to date we have not found one anywhere new or used. i have the points made about it not being needed, but i disagree, two reasons if henry ford did not think he needed it, he would not have used it, its sends the wrong message to my young son on his first big boy engine build and our brand new seal with a dressed dampner properly alinged and installed does leak, because the seal is overloaded in the absence of this small part, not only that it is embarressing, especially with a tim meyer crank
later, done for real, thank you tim, just thank you for who you are and what you are doing for all of us. 351/400m diehards

you will do one of three things, forgive, fire me or ban from the the site
but,
what about a genuine tim meyer custom enginereed windage tray and/or windage screen to compliment yout hi-po pan that i am outright begging you for in the future.
i believe there is free horsepower in that bottom end as far as oil control goe,s but frankly ONLY if it is your,s.
why
because son and i have come to learn that meyer engineering truly understands and know how to fix the bottom end oil issues that are present in our midlands that is present STOCK by factory design. mr ford must have had a headache that particular day (grin) but you know how to overcome it period.
later us.

again.hard core harley davidson ???????

tim,
as a rule son runs the show and i am very proud of him, i stay in the back, the old man water boy
BUT,
looking over your site, i saw that you ALSO machine on hd,s.
is there any chance meyer eng is tooled and/or jigged up to DUAL PLUG early shovelhead heads. if you ARE not i understand, because the profit margin is not all that great,
but sir, if you are, please respond asap, i have 1 pair ready right now, and i quietly and respectfully mean RIGHT NOW, please before i am forced to send them to the west coast. seriusiouly, i will not pull the leg of a man of your caliber. this country boy is for real.
father/son.

Not sure where to even start.

First things first, I have not done the dual spark plug addition. Done a lot of machining to the HD heads & cylinders, but not that.

We have a windage tray available that bolts to the main caps. I do like these because it is tighter to the crankshaft.

I personally do not use the slinger. Never had a problem either. Not a bad idea in it's day, but our seal technology has advanced alot.

We have the main bolt with the stud on hand for the 400's and other Fords.
if that is the stud you are talking about.?.?

Every engine we build, have have "cow" magnets that we lay in the oil pan. Very stong magnet. Looks like a fuzzy mouse after a season of racing.

And the oil pan, I plan on having it plain. And if there is one thing I hate, is a wimpy tin. I will insist on heavy material.

Hope I caught all the questions, if not try me again.
