So i was driving down the road today in my 02 F-350 4x4 PSD and I could smell diesel , so I pulled over to check it out.
I looked under the truck and fuel was pouring out and I mean pouring.
So I quickly unhooked my gooseneck trailer and headed for town. I was 30 miles from anywhere.
It ran OK but I could see the fuel leak on the road.
I got it to the Ford dealer, and they were to busy to look at it so I got it towed 60 miles to the next dealer where it still sits.
Has anyone had anything like this happen before?
A very large volume of fuel and it seems to be coming from the top rear of the motor?
Cant see anything under the hood , but when you look underneath the truck it seems to be coming down the tansmission and bellhousing.
2 orings on the bowl drain valve have been common trouble spots on the 7.3. And yes it will pour out I was leaving a vapor trail on my way to pick up the orings last year.
