What are you pulling?
Something that catchs a lot of wind?

As flat as Michigan is, 8500 pounds is nothing.

I normally pull a lot more weight, but my loads do not catch much wind.
Something like a big RV that has a huge front on it is harder to pull than a heavy load that is small.

The mini excavator I pull a lot is like loading a phone booth 8 feet tall that weighs 10,000 pounds on a trailer.
Yes it is heavy, but the small area of the cab front slips right through the air.

Need to check the turbo and see if it is working.....I seem to remember something about a rod coming loose or disconnected....... I admit I am NOT turbo literate.

Do you have the pyrometer and boost guages....... what readings, is there much black smoke on heavy acceleration.

Need to go to the scales for a weight check, I think your going to be surprised at CGVW you have there.....

Also when was the fuel filter changed? If can't remember do change it as a partially plugged filter will cause a power loss when you need it the most.
