Need trans help
so i guess the motor i have is a little to much for the old 4 speed. the other day i was pissed off and after the tires hooked up i shattered the yoke and broke some other things which got me thinking. Is the borg warner better the the NP transmissions or is it the other way around. also is there a difference betwen 1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton transmissions. I have a 1977 F350 and i think i need about the best that is out there. I have a borg warner right now but dont know if its strong enough to use again. any help would be appreciated.

Both the Warner and the New Process are about equal, strength wise. It's prolly not the motors fault, because parts get do get old, wear out and/or crystalize.
Both those 4 speeds are used in F100 thru F600's and are tough when new. But, 30 + years can take its toll.
