Just picked up a f-250 4x4, 1988. But the axles have been changed. They are 1 ton axles. From an f-350. How do I tell what they are? Im going to do a body swap. But I want to be sure on what im putting under my truck. The rear lug has 8 lug nuts and the center has 8 also.
Some 1980's "Light Duty" F250's have 8.8 axles. THe F250 HD's don't. What is your VIN plate axle code? You can decode it using the FTE decoder, or post it here. That info will tell you what your truck had as original.
