Well I am pretty much out of the 6.0 world for now. I traded in my 05 SD for a 07 Mustang today. Then 100 miles later the dealer loaned my SD back to me. The shifter in the stang only finds 4th gear and it had to be towed in. With luck it is just a linkage problem.
Anyway, thanks for the advice over the years and with luck I will find another SD "ranch truck" here in the future.
BTW, there was nothing wrong with my 6.0, I just needed better milage for the time being.

Right! better mileage with the stang, foot to the floor power shifting, rear hides burned off, no wonder the linkage is stuck

diesel here is 2.60 a gallon while regular is 2.85 a gallon so to my surprise diesel has dropped below regular a bit.

Yep, I am glad to say that things seem to be back to normal around here now too. 2.76 Diesel, 3.18 Reg Unleaded.

BTW I have a cat delete pipe and a brand new, still in the box, Superchips Flashpaq.
I ordered the Tuner before I got the truck and Superchips won't trade me for one for the mustang. If anyone is interested PM me and I'll get back to you.
