LAST EDITED ON 04-Mar-01 AT 10:14 AM (EST)[p]try something like a vinyl/or vin/rubber molded mat:
here is one source:
http://www.accmats.com/vinyl&.htm
my 96 bronco cleans up well with the factory vinyl mat..one reason we bought the xl model instead of the carpeted xly/eb.
i believe others make these mats too...check jc whitney for prices..think they go for about 125.00
can do it cheaper with just husky floor mats.($60).then use some rubber sound proofing/mats around the transfer case/tunnel area
if you go to all vinyl floormats, be sure to check under them once in a while to make sure it is dry. i lost the drivers floor in my 85 to rust because of the moisture that trickled in during off roading.
Well...I had a 5 gallon jug of transmission oil from moving stuff, and it busted all over my carpet...So now I have a bare metal floor...Thanks for the suggestions...
