supercharging 4.6
I'm looking into putting a supercharger on my 197 f150 4.6. I would like your opinion. i was wondering if you think it might break stuff. i don't want to have to dive into my engine and start replacing pistons and rings b/c i have to much compression. I'm looking at powerdine or vortech. they both will give me the power i'm looking for. so any information would be great!

Make sure your engine is in good shape with good compression all around. Remember your engine is 10 years old so you need to make sure it's in good shape.
Centrifugal blowers are relatively easy on your motor. I'd look into a Vortech or Procharger over a Powerdyne.
I've got a Procharger on my 97, over 140K miles and she still runs strong.

The motor itself only has about 30,000 miles. It was burining oil so the previos owner replaced it under waranty. but everything else has about 63,000 miles on it. so i don't think i will have a problem with compression. Does anybody know where i can get a vortech for a good price? thanks for the info
