WeatherTech Installation

Finally installed my WeatherTech in Channel window visors on my 06 SuperCrew.

The rear ones went in very easy. Just get them in place and remove the backing on the tape. Window runs smooth.

The front ones aren't as smooth. They provide a clip to hold the front of the visor in place by the mirror bracket. It's a pretty tight fit to get the visor in the clip and it seems like there is quite a bit of pressure on the clip which pulls down on the rubber outside the window. It also seems like to front ones could use tape like the rear ones. When I raise my front windows they rub against the visor pretty good, unlike the rear.

Is this usual or did I miss something in installation?

Thanks

I haven't done weather tech for your body style, but the chevy's rear window is that way. Yes, its not perfect the first two attempts. However, you can tune a little at a time if you want to play around with it.

I have the same visors. I had to trim the front visors so the length was correct to fit in the clip. Now they work great - very little rubbing. I love these things - they are the best thing I have done to my truck. Keep playing with them, and do a little triming if needed.

I ended up returning mine because the fit was so bad the window wouldn't even go all the way up. They used to make a good part, but this little clip design isn't great.

By the way, carmk, how much material did you have to remove?
