has anyone had to replace the A/C on their ranger? how much work was it. my Evaporator has a hole in it. so I need to replace a few parts. any info would be appreciated
Is it just the evaporator, or do you suspect other failed components?
IMO, if you don't see any black goo in the system, then you can just replace the evaporator. Then have the system flushed (with a cleaner), evacuated and then charged to spec. It might be a good idea to replace the orifice tube while your at it.
i changed the evap dryer and orfice tube yesterday had a vaccum ran on it and recharged no leaks and she's cold as ever. saved myself about 700 bucks doing the work myself. thanks for the input love that ranger
