figured id introduce myself since i will be the owner of a 6.0 quite soon. my name is jared sundberg, im from kodiak alaska and am currently attending wyotech in laramie wyoming (diesel of course). my dad and i are trading trucks since he no longer has much use for his 6.0 and would rather let me put it to work and modify it. ive been reading several diesel forums and figured id become a member to learn as much as possible. thanks in advance for the knowledge i have already gained, and what i plan on learning from this forum!
As a relative newb myself, like any other forum, there are some quirks to weed through.
Lots of folks willing to step in and answer questions. I would suggest that you spend a while perusing the Tech folders, if you haven't already. Lots of great info has already been logged and archived and can probably answer 90% or more of your questions.
On a side note, I have some great friends who graduated WyoTech a few years ago and have very successful rod and custom shops. WT seems to have become Mecca for those wanting a leg up in the upper crust of the mechanical world.
Welcome, I also attended WyoTech in Laramie a few years back, I was in the collision/refinishing/streetrod side of it, but wouldnt mind going back someday to take diesel. Im also right nearby in Rock Springs. If you have any questions about the Laramie area let me know. Lots of stuff you can learn on here, theres some great techs and great guys that know there diesels!
