I have always been a Chevy man but the 2000 Chevy Silverado I had was a big disappointment. It had a gas engine and heavy duty tow package but it just would not handle my 10000 pound travel trailer as a matter of fact it was a piece of crap. So I got rid of it and bought a 2007 F350 DRW 6.0 PSD. After buying the truck I started reading the threads on this site and some others and I half expected this truck to fly apart in about a thousand pieces or just stop running never to run again but, so far I have been nothing but absolutely impressed with this truck. This Ford will tow my trailer and that Silverado down the road backwards and never break a sweat. I have 6000 miles on the truck so far and I love it. Hope it will give me this performance with no trouble for a long long time.

ya they dont have a self destruct timer on them like most seem to make them out too..they are just the motor that was fords first attempt at a EGR motor. I hope u have changed your oil already?? if u do it your self or even if u have it done its very important these motors get the correct oil/fuel filters...and the correct/clean oil....that also has a very big part in how reliable they are.

Most people come here looking for answers to problems, so at first glance it does look like everyone has nothing but problems. And that is expected because that's what the forum is all about. Most people here will tell you they love their 6.0's, despite having some issues here and there. Some people have had ablsolutely no problems with their engine.
