Have a 65 F100 with a 6 cylinder, 240 engine. Have been driving it for about ten years and it has pretty much been trouble free.
Yesterday, as I was rounding a corner, I let off the gas and the engine died. Never happened before. Managed to get home, but every time I let off the gas, the dog-gone thing died.
This afternoon, I took the carb (one barrel) off, cleaned it up real good, put on a new fuel filter, put it back on - same problem.
It will start right up, runs great until you left off the gas - then, it dies.
