Yes this may sound out of topic but I am 99% sure it is in topic. I have a 92 ranger(sounds off topic I know). I bought it already lifted front glass. The I-beams are positively not ranger beams. I am trying to find out what they came off of. The info I have to work with is the casting numbers F17A-3008-CA for the passenger side and " "-3007-" " for the driver. I have beat the net dead trying to find the numbers and come up with nothing. Also local parts stores turn up nothing. Maybe you guys with f-1s and f-2s can take a look for me. They are 5 lug pattern (although spindels may have been swapped). I have reason to believe they came off a f-250 due to their size. And they have the "do not heat bend weld" warning stamped on they indicating a mid 90's vehicle. any help is appreciated.
Well I have a F150 and the driverside beam is roughly 34" from the mounting bolt to the center of the spring. The F250 arms will be the same length as the F150's.
And are they 4x4 beams or 2wd beams?, cause the 4x4 beams are not cast, they are bent steel to allow the axle shafts to go through them and have the diff cover for the 44 on the driverside.
you didn't happen to know the casting numbers on your beam do you?
F17A-3008-CA
F1 is 1991, and 7 is...Ranger. The A means nothing as far as what the parts fit. 7 has refered to Ranger in casting and engineering numbers since 1983. To find out for sure, since I don't have a parts catalog past 1989, contact one of FTE's Ford parts sponsors. They can verify what the parts fit.
