hmm. . . that's weird. I'm messing with a truck and the whole driveline sits to the drivers side by 1". I recalled the driveline being offset, but couldn't recall what direction it was.
Guess i need to figure out what's causing the twist.
Are you talking about in the frame drop, or in relation to the center of the fenders? The whole driveline is 4" to the passenger side in relation to the fenders center, but should largely be centered in the drop of the frame.
within the drop it sits 1" to the drivers side. It can be noticed most from inside the truck with the tunnel cover removed.
The transmission angles front drivers side at the front to passengers at the rear and the motor sits with the bellhousing centered but the front pointing to the drivers side. the whole thing is twisted around the bellhousing.
haven't gotten a chance to get up under there yet, but i have a pretty good feeling it's the trans mount. I've never liked the 4x2 ones from this era, they tweak way too easily.
I'll let you know how it turns out, but i honestly don't know the next time I'm going to be able to get out to mess with it, this week is gonna be craazzyy.
