Hey Nice!!

Yup I'm in. Thats a great idea!! Let me know What, When, Where and How. And I'm there. HEY HEY HEY.... Ask your buddy if he can machine a port for a gauge on the top also. That would be a big plus for screwing in a gauge and or removing it and replacaing it with a plug.... Thanks..Country Countrycar@hotmail.com

you know what, that doesnt sound like a bad idea at all... a billet cap with a head on it for removal with a wrench and a port for a fuel pressure gauge. sounds cool. let us know how it turns out!

that'll be tough to machine the threads on the side... Should be a challenge. You should anodize it too!

With the proper machine lathe setup for threading, it should be a piece of cake.. once the actual size of the thread is determined..

Count me in. If you have a paypal account I can send funds that way.

I agree with clintbonnie, the threads will be easy once you figure out the size. You can have a bit of slop in something that big and it'll do just fine. I'm a machinist, but it'd be cheaper for me to buy one of many from your than to make one myself.

I have often thought about bleeding the air off the top of the filter cap, being this is the highest point of the entire fuel system. The Factory return line is down on the side of the housing abit and probably doesn't get much of the air.. By using a fitting with about a .020" diameter hole and then tieing into the return line, I think it should work to keep the air away from the engine..With an Alum. cap, it would be easy to drill and tap a NPT for a fitting.. What do you think?

Me too, me too. Im going to make a cover out of alumibrite to replace my busted plastic. Maybe a viewing or access hole for the fuel can would compliment the billet lid quite nicely. What is the estimated time of prototype for the lid?

Yeah guys I agree. Drill and tap. Nothing we haven't done before. Their seems to be a few options for a port at the top of the lid. Hopefully this be out soon..Take Care. Country

I talked with my machinist he said he can have a prototype maybe by friday. he has a CNC laith and said if we can dream it he can make it. I also have access to a chrome shop, but I believe polished billet would look better. we will be getting together tomorrow to go over the details of the design and the cost. any more ideas , I have a wrench boss , a bleeder valve and a threaded NPT port for a guage or air bleed.

Country Here, and I say Heck yeah!!! Mako314 I'm holding my breath. OH and thank-you. I still think a gauge port, IMHO is the way I would go. It's easy enough that you can install a gauge on the cap simply to check your fuel pressure and remove it, or leave the gauge in place if you so choose. The other option, the one I've chosen to do on my truck with this cap is attach a 45 or 90 possibly quick disconnect to the Top of the cap and attach a stainless steel braided hose just long enough to reach the gauge that is mounted at a predestined location and leave it. T his way the stock Powerstrock cover should fit back in place for a clean install. Thanks Agian. Country

How about some REAL billet door handles and tailgate handle. Mine busted. I used to work on a C and C doing all of the rear end diff covers you see in the muscle car magazines, the one with the carrier support bolts.
