Monobeam axle

How do i find out if I have a monobeam axle? Need to do the brakes and they list two kinds. Thanks in advance. Ray

If its a 4x4, it is a solid axle. If it is non 4-wheel drive then you have Independent front suspension/ IFS. This is on the 250&350's. Unless you have an F-350 Dually.If you have a dually 2x4 you will have a mono beam axle. If you have a non 4x4, 450, 550 on up then you will also have the mono beam FT axle.This is to the best of my knowledge. The dealership should be able to offer you more info on this.
