Hello all! i am new to this site and learning alot. i have a 2000 f350 dually with 306,000miles. when it is cold it feels like it has a miss or cylinder missing, once it is warmed up it is okay. has anyone experienced this or something similar? i already tried an oil change, fuel filter, and fresh diesel. it has a towing chip and thats about it for mods. i live is so. cali so the temp is not even that cold here. any help would be nice. Thanks to all.
Start thinking about foing a Cylinder Conytibution test if its rattlin like the video in the mornings. It will detect a bad injector. Are you still on original injectors?

Theres a prominent tick there. Gotta turn the Metalica down to hear it!
mine sounds sort of like that but with no tick. as soon as it gets hot it goes away completely and drives normal. when i try to drive it will feel like there is a cylinder missing. i can let it sit and start it up warm and it will run perfect.?? as far as the injectors go, i dont know if they have been replaced since i bought it recently.
8tsixt, not trying to hi-jack your thread, but I am having the same problem in my early 99 with 116,000 miles and wondered if you figured out your problem. Sometimes when I first start it and drive it feels like a dead miss. I did a cylinder contribution test once while it was missing and it showed cylinder 4. The miss goes away once I let the truck warm up and shut it off and restart it or sometimes when I go drive it and floor it for a second, it clears up. Any suggestions? Once the miss goes away, it stays away until the truck sets for a couple of days again.

No worries, I am still working on trying to get a reman set of injectors to replace all 8. I took it to the dealership and was advised to replace all 8 because of miles. I wouldnt doubt you have the same problem. Good luck to you.
