Has anyone out there seen or have a DVD screen mounted on the ceiling WITH a sunroof?? With the headrests in my 07 F-250 Crew not being removeable, I want to go with a drop-down screen. Any suggestions or PICs of successful installations with a sunroof?
i did the install myself. i have it set up so the front headrest screens are the same as what is on the front screens. and the rear overhead screens can work independant of the fronts and each other. it requires a switcher unit. i have 1 on each c pillar. i have a dvd player under the seat and the head unit is a 6 disc dvd player as well. i will be putting in my playstation soon. i can have it so every screen in the truck is playing something different, but i dont have that many players in the truck....yet...lol.
Just something to think about.... I installed the overhead DVD screen and I really like it; however, if I had to do it again, I would to the screens in the headrests. With the overhead, the screen partially blocks my rearview when it's down, plus, the screen really wiggles when the road gets bumpy. Not trying to discourage you, but these were things I didn't think about when I put mine in.

ktp, when i said to put the overhead screens in, i meant something like i have. i dont know what size you have, but, mine are 7". they do not move at all....ever.... i would only put the overhead screens in for the 3rd row seats. i have the headrest screens for the 2nd row. and an indash and an additional 7" below that. total i have 6 screens which are all 7"... and as long as they are secured to the overhead brace, they will never move. if you secure them to the headliner, they will ....well, you know.
oh ok =) You were smarter than me, I put in a 13" screen. I did secure it to the overhead brace, but that screen just wiggles all over the place when the truck bounces. My poor daughter probably gets dizzy trying to watch her cartoons.... oh well, she's a good sport and doesn't complain.
