Just make sure it has all the clips on it. By the way, I thought the directions were a little fuzzy, just ended up doing it my own way and it popped right in. Be careful of the little ball clips if you have power mirrors, they aren't real strong.

My MIL had a mirror broken on her car, drivers side. I managed to find one at a salvage yard that was an exact EOM. Just took it to a body shop with the paint code and had it painted and installed. Not bad, about $100 bucks total.
That might be another option should the same thing happen again.
