what spark plugs

i have a 78 f150 400 engine, C6 trans. what plug should i use? i know what the book calls for but that was back in 78 any thing better?

Not really. Spark plug technology hasn't changed. The plugs originally called for Motorcraft ASF-42 (now ASF42C). You could use the Platinum version if you desire.
