When pulling my toy hauler here in AZ, nothing is more irritating than when the fan clutch kicks in (All to often in my oppinion) and that massive power loss and howling start.
Of course I realize it is there to prevent eccessive operating temperatures and is my friend..but I hate it!
Anyone heard about or seen someone convert to an electric fan set up and eliminate the fan and fan clutch on the engine?
Any reason why it would nto work...or viod a warranty?
You need to figure out how much air flow is going through that radiator. Than calculate what fan you will need to handle the job. You can always run two fans, if one isn't enough.
I would wait till your warranty expires before trying to do the install.
you could try to mount a set of electric fan(s) in front of the radiator and still leave the stock fan in place. you could set the fans up either on a t-stat or just a switch used when towing.
