78 f150 tranny ?

Do i have to switch my clutch and flywheel and bell housing from my 300 to make my 400m bolt up to it?

yes you need everything from a 351m or 400.

Yes 2 different engine families.

Btw, No M after 400

The 351M/400/429/460 share the same bolt pattern

The 300/302/351W share the same bolt pattern.

thanks for the info. does anyone know if you have to move or switch the frame side motor mounts to accomodate a 400 from a 300. i know you have to move them back but do you have to get mounts specificly for a 400
