There is not an answer of which is better. It is more about choice. The cleaner look would be to tie it into the exhaust and not to have an extra puff of smoke coming from under the vehicle. This puff however is will not be very noticable. I like the idea of tieing it into the exhaust. I dont want the undercarriage of my truck to look like my engine compartment does now.
I just ran mine to just under the rear bumper, so it looks like my trailer ball is farting LOL. It keeps the underbody clean, and I've even had to explain to people that my truck isn't on smoking, it normal hehe....
I like the idea of going into the exhaust as well, but have no way to do the metal work for this injection (short of something like JB weld, which I do not want to do on the exhaust).
To minimize underbody dirtiness, I installed a liquid trap that has a pice of coarse scotch bright at the exit to help capture oily goo. The exhaust hose from this trap releives itself right behind my spare tire. Pictures of the trap ar ein my gallery.
