What are you guys running in your E4OD? The garage put mercron 5 in with the reman. Was at ford the other day with a possible warranty issure and they said it should have plain mercron... the 5 will take the lining off the clutches. Something to worry about or

I thought I heard that ford ahs now oked the mercon 5 for the E4OD. Maybe it was just for the older 4r100's. either way the Dexron/mercon 3 is what I will use. thats what has always been recommended for our trucks so I will continue to use it.

I've been looking for a TSB or anything else saying so, I know when they put the reman in Ford required a aux inline filter. I'll get a filter kit and some dextron 3 and do a complete change, if nothing else just for giggles.
