shudder after getting wet
2000 7.3, 245000 miles, blew off a belt yesterday, going down the hiway, as it shredded it pulled off the top radiator hose and blew coolant all over the engine, replaced the hose and belt along the hiway and refilled 1/2 gallon of water in radiator, engine did not get hot, going down the road and the engine light came on and felt like it was running on 7 cylinders, kept driving and it clears out for awhile then comes back, any ideas on what might have got wet or what else could have happened, i check the wires and plug in to be sure belt didnt pull some thing off, nothing noticeable, any help or advice would be appreciated..

The CPS is located at the 11 o'clock position on the crank the wireing runs up just to the left on the water pump. Make sure those wires did not get chaffed, its somewhat common even if the belt doesn't break due to the little plastic anchor holding it to the Water pump. Also the ICP sensor on the driverside head that connector may have gotten moisture in it.
