Recirc door actuator

Recirc door actuator
The linkage on top of hte actuator that poens and closes the recirc dor for the AC has broken. Does anyone know of a way to access this actuator without pulling the dash. I can barely reach the actuator but not enough finger room to maniluplate anything to try to hook it back up.

Depending on the year, there is a blent door fix forum here somewhere.. I tried it on my 98 ... theres not much room to work,, but i managed.. Now my problem is i don't have the heat that i use to have.. so i'll butcher the thing some other day..

More specifics
The fix shown will not solve my problem- different year/model? I have an 02. The actuator has a piston that moves up and down and is directly linked to the recirc door. Believe it probably worksoff vacuum. It is behind and above the glove box in about the middle of hte box.
Is there a differnce between the blend door and the recirc door?
