My research and experiences got me to buy another Duralast Gold from Autozone. It was either that or a Motorcraft. Both are made by Johnson controls.
The only reason I went with Duralast is that Autozones are a little easier to come by than Ford dealerships if it went out in warranty. I hear some parts stores carry them though. I've heard mixed reviews on the Everstarts, it seems some are made by excide and some Johnson controls.
The motorcraft in my F150 went 5+ years and ~100K miles. The Duralast in my Dakota is going on nearly the same.
