Head gasket for 84
i had the same problem on my 90. oil would blow into the air filter from the breather and get oil everywhere. so if u have the same problem i did, its not your head gasket. all i did was cut the hose that comes from the oil fill so it is about 3 or 4 inches, and then cut the other end that goes into the air box. next i connected these two hoses and put the small breather filter on the end. this way the oil could not blow into the airbox. i just put some tape over the hole where it went into the airbox. i hope this is the same in your truck because it was very cheap to do, solved the problem, and doesnt look half bad unless u point out the tape on the airbox.
