What Color?
Hi everyone, I just bought a 1993 F-150 that has a bed on it that was a take off back in the day, so the body is solid and dent free the truck is an XLT so it has all the chrome options but bc the bed is white and the cab and fenders are black and there paint are in pretty poor shape im looking to paint it, but im not sure what color, i was thinkin a metalic red w/silver bottom or a white with charcoal and the interior is red.. but im not sure im not going to paint it for about another month bc i am going to swap the 300 out of it and put a vortech blown 302 in it... and if i paint it b4 the motor thats going to hold back on whats more important haha.. but if anyone has any input on any color schemes or any pictures of yours or just some nice trucks it would be greatly appreciated thanks, jim

I work at a body shop and Ive seen alot of different ford color combos roll through and by far my favorite is the stock tutone maroon and gold combo. The only problem is that your red interior limmits your choices. Not alot of colors look good with red interior. You can use black, white and red (only if its about the same color). IMO I would go with black with red interior. Its gonna be a nice sporty color combo to go with your blown 302.

yeah like mrl390 said the black and red interior ist going to look good with the blown 302... how about 2 racing stripes? red racing stripes.. i was thinking of that but you need to have a racing truck to go with racing stripes and i have an offroad truck i did mine dark gray metallica its nice.. and it goes with the red interior look at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2469402

Hey man that looks pretty sharp, and i like all the videos. but i dont really want stripes the only thing that i think stripes belong on was the AC Cobras, and its not really going to be a racing truck its still going offroad quite often just after the adder its going to have just a little more *** when going off road.. but i do think that black would look nice because that would match my mustang and my ranger but on the other hand i kinda want different than black for a change i want something that ive never owned and something that you dont see very much of...

i had a 92 ranger with red interior. loved the color combo. it was charcoal grey with silver on the bottom and red pin stripe splitting the two

In my own opinion:
Cops like red, yellow, white.. pretty much any color that stands out
The Dark Shadow Grey that ford is putting on their cars now would look pretty good..
and so would the Le Mans Blue on the new corvettes...

white and black would be pretty badass but i like jonathandennall's idea.. ive been in enough **** with the cops lately bc of the mustang and im pretty close to losing my license so the least i stand out the better, and yes i love that charcoal color there putting on the new fords and i think i want some combo of that and white or that and black maybe
