Are you still in school for auto mechanic's? They should have a machine that you can hook up to your evap system and send smoke through it to find leaks

Well, it's code 1443, which is the purge valve, but I also found something that wasn't connected, so I'm not so sure it was the actual valve. Haven't started school yet, but I've had it hooked up twice....we're friends with a mechanic.

I reset it after the hoses and it came back on. I just kinda walked away when I noticed the unhooked thing after I went and bought a new purge valve because I was upset. I'm going to make sure the other thing is hooked up good before putting on the new valve, and reset it and see if it comes back on tomorrow. Have some errands to run, so I figured it would be a good time to test it.

No not yet I scared to start it cause I don't know whats under the FI unit. I don't know if the socket can get into the engine.
