i have a 2001 F250- Looks like my automatic hubs are stuck- When I engage ESOF- the hubs do not lock- The light goes on......
When I try to turn manually or with pliers- they don't budge...
Suggestions?
Getting new ones is the best thing to do. The ESOF system is not the greatest in the world, and is prone to problems. O.K I really am sugar coating it, the system stinks!
Warn Premiums can be installed easily, and will eliminate most of the problems associated with the ESOF.
If you must try to fix what you have, the stock lockouts can be removed without tools. The big snap-ring is easily removed, and with a little patience the lockouts can be removed and cleaned. Lube them with a little light oil, and they should work again if there is not a vacuum problem.
