No Mod Cold air intake

Ok guys, I want to install a cold air kit on my truck. I ordered a BBK cold air kit from Summit. It looks great, nice and shiny .........but it does not fit .. The kit locates the air temp sensor right up against the power steering bracket. The air tubes for the 2 vacuum lines at the throttle body can not be connected with out hacking the bracket for the throttle body cover. I packed it up and shipped it back to Summit for a refund. Also, there is no way that the air box would seal against the fender let alone the hood.

I will not hack up my truck to get something to fit... I want a cold air kit that will bolt on without having to hack out brackets and will not be drawing the hot under hood air.. The kit has to pull the air from the fender well or grill and has to fit. Any suggestions guys?

The only cold air kits ive ever seen for our trucks that meets your description where a RAM air style.... You would have to buy a hood and then the cold air kit to go with it.... that woud be the only true functional cold air kit.

The K&N CAI does mate up flush with the hood and the fenderwall... it even has rubber sealer around the mating edges... maybe thats what your lookin for....bought 240 a pop though i think.

Try looking at a Volant system, it still utilizes the fender well opening.
