Ran fine parked it low on fuel went to start and all it does is crank. Added 5 gallons of fuel still the same. Drained fuel from under and on the fuel filter then refilled filter with fuel. Pump works fine- any thoughts or startup procedures would be helpful I need to fix it TONIGHT thank you
no valve that i know of.usually i leave the cap off the filter housing with key on to purge all the air, when full of fuel put cap on and it starts right away.youmay have to cycle key a couple of times to get all of the air out.
fuel supply lines connect to front of the head with a banjo bolt fitting.loosening the bolt should bleed out any air.if it did not run out of fuel tho there should not be any air.maybe a bad hpop connector?supplies high pressure oil to injector to open it.seems to be a fairly common issue on the 6.0 if you do a search on hpop fitting you should be able to find what im thinking about.

I looked for the bolt fitting and could not find...do you (or anybody) know of a CAD drawing or digram showing where it is located...if so would be very helpful...my lielyhood depends on this truck
Did you get it running? I wouldnt be so sure that it is a fuel issue, Are your glow plugs lighting? Do you get the dummy light while fire up? Do you have the buzz flash and after cranking do you hear the injectors ticking? I know when I crank it for even just a second w/o starting it up they will buzz. Just my 2 cents.
