Waddup all, I picked up a 3 guage pod for the truck, has an oil pressure, watter temp and volt meter. I can handle installing the Volt meter, its fairly simple, what I dont know about is the Oil and Watter guages. How/where would I run and hook up the oil guage, and where would I mount the sender for the watter temp??
The oil pressure sending unit is located in the rear of the engine, almost center.
You can either put a Tee in the line and hook up both gauges or remove the stock sending unit and only use the new gauge.
There are two temp sending units at the front of the drivers side head.
I replaced the temp light switch with the sending unit for my gauge when I did mine.
That way I am seeing the head temp when I look at the gauge.
Hey where did you get the three guages and what type of mount did you get with it? Was it a post mount becaues i need to get some gauges too?
Thanks.
you can buy pillar guages for the ford trucks, but i went E-bay and bought a pillar pod for a honda accord and with a sharp knife in a few minutes it fit my F350. they have a good selection on there all the time.
Anybody have a pic of the Oil Pressure sending unit??? I did a look in my Chilitons manual, and my Haynes Diesel repair manual, and oddly enough, nither had ANYTHING on it...LOL a Pic would be absoulty Fantastic.
