Is anyone willing to give me a picture of their factory 460 ford with factory smog equipment on it? I need to know how some parts are run and I have some things going off into nowhere. Any and all pictures would be great, thank you!

Like the 302 guys.
There are 37 different hose routings for 77/78 302's due to trans type, rear axle, state of operation,altitude,model,4x2 or 4x4,etc etc.

Sorry, Im still used to how generic the chevies are. Its a 1979 F250 with a 460 in it. Although, the 460 is out of a 68 lincoln, I donno how much that changes things.
Is this Calif ? Well because the engine is pre-emissions is won't matter unless you have to honour 79 standards which is IMO a waste of a muscle engine.
There are EGR differences
Vacuum amplifier equipped.
I'll link a 78 460 diagram if you like
Oh ya, no need for the quote, I know who and what you are replying to
yeah its a cali truck and cali smog. But it only has to pass for 68's standards as the engine was a legal swap that was grandfathered. There is missing stuff and I have no idea where what goes and how. Like there is two vacume lines that appear to come out of the sending unit for the temperater guage, I'll take a pic and post it up and you can tell me what all is wrong with it. How's that sound?
If you are in the Los Angeles area, I have all the parts catalogs which you are more than welcome to come look at. I can also eyeball your engine and tell you what's missing.
CA vehicles in 1968 had a smog pump on some, PC valve and evaporative emission. No EGR valves till 1973.

Awesome! I live near the LA area, once I get this pig running smoothly I will probably take you up on this offer. What kind of beer do you like so I can bring a present with me. haha.

No beer needed, and no charge either. I added CA smog requirements to above post.
Do you have the #1 position of the piston at TDC power stroke correlated with the #1 position of the Distributor cap ...with plug wires in correlation with direction of rotor travel ?
Each cylinder has 2 TDC's
Top of Power stroke and again at end of exhaust stroke

I kept playing with it and figured out what was wrong. For some reason when I hook up the distributor up starting with the posted Number 1 sign it doesn't work. I shifted the wires over two poles and now its working. The miss has smoothed out but isn't gone yet. Im going to rebuild the carburator is next. Either its running good or Im not used to hearing the firing order of the 460 but it has more power now. It detonates a bit so I am going to reset the time as soon as my hand stops throbbing. I got too close to the fan and it bit me.
