3 speed overdrive i.d.
Hi, I have been reading threads but can't find an answer to this one. I have two 3 speed overdrive manual trannys. One I know for sure came from a 68 F100 with a 360.The other came from a 63 ( I think) F100 that had a 406 ( not factory I know). Does anyone have info that can help me i.d. them? Thanks in advance.

Three speed trans with a OD bolted on back, right?
'63 T85 Borg Warner trans,
'68 possibly the same if 1st isn't synchro, otherwise Ford "303" top loading trans.
Scroll down a ways on this and see an exploded view of the side-loaded T85.

ID chart for the Ford top loaded box. Looks just like a top loader 4 speed, except a little trimmer around the waist...

Now if you have a 4 speed with 4th as over, that's different, but you can also see pics of that at the above site. Just look for ID charts, "toploader imposters".
